In-depth answers
Detailed, sourced explanations for the questions people ask most about crypto cards.
- What is a crypto card?A crypto card is a payment card — usually on the Visa or Mastercard network — that is funded by your cryptocurrency balance instead of a traditional bank account. When you pay, the card converts crypto (commonly the stablecoin USDT) into fiat at the point of sale, so the merchant is paid in normal currency while you spend from your wallet.
- How do crypto virtual cards work?A crypto virtual card works in four steps: you top up your card balance with cryptocurrency (usually USDT), the provider holds that balance, you pay at any accepting merchant, and the provider converts the exact amount needed from crypto to fiat at the moment of the transaction. The merchant receives ordinary currency and never touches crypto.
- Can I pay Facebook Ads with USDT?Yes. You can't pay Meta directly in USDT, but you can fund a virtual Visa card with USDT and add that card to your Facebook ad account. You top up the card with USDT, Meta bills it in USD like any Visa card, and the network settles in fiat behind the scenes — so your effective ad spend is paid with USDT.
